Description
One of the first 1961 clarets that I tasted and a sublime experience it was too. A beautiful, subtle nose of cedar and leather. Not complex but well-defined and unreservedly “classic”. The palate still has firm tannins backed with ample sweet red fruit entwined with an earthy/cigar-box flavour. (RP)” (January 2000)
