Description
Chteau Raymond Lafon`s 2009 Sauternes is primarily made from Smillon, with a smaller percentage of Sauvignon Blanc. The wine displays intense aromas and flavours of honey, dried apricots, candied orange peel, and tropical fruits, along with notes of almonds, saffron, and vanilla. It has a luscious texture, balanced by bright acidity, which keeps the sweetness in check and provides a long, elegant finish. Given its age, the 2009 vintage should be drinking well now, but it also has the potential to age and develop further complexity for several more years. Up to 2035.
