” Bright ruby-red. Cool, subtle aromas of black cherry, violet and licorice. Tightly wound and high-pitched, with juicy flavors of violet, dark chocolate, berries and mint. Best today on the sweet, lingering finish. Winemaker Gary Bookman says this wine has “more of everything than the 2001: more fruit, darker, bigger, more concentrated,” but today the 2001 is more refined.
