In this second and limited edition of Svensk Rok, this is aged exclusively in casks of new American oak. This gives the whisky prominent notes of vanilla and herbs – A welcome contrast to the bold notes of peat, juniper and tar.Nose: Smoke, spiciness, oak, fruits and herbs. Notes of peat, juniper, toasted oak and vanilla followed by a smoky and spicy aroma with saltiness, minerals, tobacco leaves, light tariness. Arrak treats, pear fudge, ginger and vanilla.Palate: Peat, juniper, salt, definitively more smoky than what the nose is implying. A pleasant oaky spiciness with vanilla, toasted oak, pickled figs and pear fudge. The texture is medium-thick with oaky chewy notes.Finish: Spicy, smoky and oaky with notes of tar, tobacco leaves, bright notes of pickled figs and pear fudge.Casks:
